Polites mystic, der Long Dash oder Long Dash Skipper, ist eine Schmetterlingsart. Die Art kommt häufig im Norden Nordamerikas und in Bergen im Süden Nordamerikas in grasbewachsenen Lebensräumen vor. Die Grasflächen umfassen Wiesen, Sümpfe, Bachränder, Waldränder und Präriesümpfe. Auf der Oberseite hat die Art dunkelbraune rötliche bis gelblich-orange Markierungen. Das Vorderflügel des Weibchens hat einen breiten schwarzen Fleck an der Basis. Das Vorderflügel des Männchens hat eine lange, leicht gebogene Narbe, die nahe der Spitze mit dem Strich verbunden sein kann. Unterhalb des Hinterflügels ist die Art orangebraun mit einem gebogenen Band gleichgroßer gelber Flecken.
