Attagenus quadrimaculatus, commonly known as the carpet beetle, is a small insect belonging to the family Dermestidae. It measures around 3-5 mm in length and has a distinctive oval-shaped body covered in tiny scales. The adult beetles are black or dark brown in color with four distinct yellowish-orange spots on their wing covers. They are known to infest carpets, upholstery, and other natural fibers, feeding on animal-based materials such as wool, fur, and feathers.
