Attagenus unicolor, commonly known as the black carpet beetle, is a small insect belonging to the family Dermestidae. It is approximately 3-5 mm in length and has a shiny black or dark brown body. The larvae of this species are known to be destructive pests, feeding on a variety of organic materials such as carpets, upholstery, and clothing. Adult black carpet beetles are typically found outdoors, but can also be found indoors where they may lay eggs and continue their life cycle.
