Epilachna varivestis, commonly known as the Mexican bean beetle, is a small insect belonging to the lady beetle family. It is native to Mexico and is a significant pest of bean plants. The adult beetles are oval-shaped and yellow-orange with black spots on their wing covers. They feed on the leaves, pods, and stems of bean plants, causing damage and reducing crop yields.
