Paraphrynus chiztun is a species of whip scorpion, also known as vinegaroon, found in the tropical regions of Central America. It has a distinctive appearance with a long, whip-like tail and large pincers. Despite its intimidating appearance, it is harmless to humans and primarily feeds on small insects. Its name "chiztun" is derived from Mayan language, referring to its presence in the region.
