Paraphrynus williamsi is a species of whip scorpion, also known as a vinegaroon. It is found in the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. This insect has a unique appearance with a long, whip-like tail and large pincers. Despite its intimidating appearance, Paraphrynus williamsi is harmless to humans and primarily feeds on small insects and spiders.
