Pelidnota virescens, commonly known as the green June beetle, is a large scarab beetle found in North America. It has a metallic green body with a bronze or copper-colored head and legs. Adults are active during the summer months and are attracted to lights at night. The larvae, known as grubs, feed on the roots of grasses and other plants.
