Phrynichus dhofarensis is a species of insect belonging to the order Amblypygi, commonly known as whip spiders or tailless whip scorpions. It is found in the Dhofar region of Oman, hence its name. This species has a flattened body with long, whip-like appendages that are used for sensory purposes rather than for capturing prey. It is nocturnal and primarily feeds on small invertebrates.
