Chlosyne hippodrome is a species of butterfly belonging to the Nymphalidae family. It is commonly known as the Hippodrome checkerspot. This insect has a wingspan of approximately 4-5 centimeters and displays a striking pattern of black and orange markings on its wings. It is primarily found in grasslands and meadows across North America.
