Solpuga fusca, commonly known as the camel spider, is a species of arachnid belonging to the order Solifugae. It is characterized by its large size, with adults reaching up to 6 inches in length. Solpuga fusca has a tan or brown coloration, powerful jaws, and long legs adapted for running. Despite its intimidating appearance, it is not venomous to humans and is primarily a nocturnal predator, feeding on insects and small vertebrates.
