Eleodes tricostata, commonly known as the three-ribbed darkling beetle, is a species of beetle belonging to the family Tenebrionidae. It is found in the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. This beetle is characterized by its dark brown or black coloration, elongated body shape, and three distinct raised ridges running along its elytra. It is primarily a scavenger, feeding on decaying plant material and occasionally small insects.
