It is approximately 2-3 centimeters long and has a robust body with a reddish-brown color. The adult beetles are active during the spring and early summer months, often being attracted to lights at night. The larvae, known as white grubs, are considered pests as they feed on the roots of various plants, causing damage to crops and lawns.
